Golden Jubilee gathering · 28–29 November 2026
ARFMA member mills and their families will gather at Borgos – The Wild Haven, Kaziranga, Assam. Members will arrive and check in on Saturday 28 November, followed by a bonfire, cultural evening, cocktails and dinner.
Sunday 29 November is planned to begin with a 5:00 AM assembly at resort reception for an elephant safari, returning by 8:00 AM for breakfast. Expert-led technical talks begin at 9:30 AM in the ballroom, covering new flour-milling trends, wheat procurement challenges for North East mills and the future of the industry. Lunch is planned for 1:00 PM. An audiovisual presentation and formal launch of ARFMA’s Digital Platform will also take place that day; its time will be announced.
The participation contribution is ₹10,000 per member mill, irrespective of the number of participants. Spouses, children and other family members are welcome. Members pay room rent, in-room dining and liquor charges directly to the property; all other event expenses are borne by ARFMA. Members will select a room category. Borgos has reserved 34 rooms across several categories for ARFMA, to be allotted on a first-come, first-served basis. If demand exceeds availability, overflow accommodation will be arranged at nearby properties after actual participation numbers are known. Only vegetarian food will be served throughout the event. The programme and booking arrangements remain tentative. ARFMA requests every member mill to participate actively and contribute ideas to make the Jubilee grand and memorable. The online participation form records accommodation and safari requirements. The name and telephone number of the programme coordinator will be published soon.
Anyone wishing to join the elephant safari must submit a photo ID and consent by 1 November 2026. A jeep safari is planned as an alternative for guests unable to take the elephant safari because of age or physical limitations. Members should tell ARFMA their plans well in advance: November is peak season, safari rides are heavily booked, and availability is never guaranteed. Park authorities may deny access for a range of reasons. The organiser will share a secure method for collecting the required documents.
Borgos confirms a reservation only against advance payment: 50% of the total room amount at booking and the remaining 50% at least 45 days before arrival. Cancellation is penalty-free up to 30 days before arrival. A cancellation within 30 days, or a no-show, attracts the full booking charge with no refund; advances cannot be adjusted or carried forward. ARFMA will hold the room indicated in a member's registration. If a late cancellation or no-show causes Borgos to charge ARFMA, the cost will be attributed to that member's account. No compensation will be sought if ARFMA is able to reallot the room to another member.
ARFMA is in discussions with the Roller Flour Millers' Federation of India (RFMFOI) about joining the celebration. If it agrees, members will have an opportunity to meet industry colleagues from across India, and RFMFOI may hold a Board meeting alongside the programme. Its participation is not yet confirmed.
For guests coming from other states, ARFMA is arranging darshan at the holy shrine of Maa Kamakhya. Other outings are also being planned and may include a visit to a working tea garden. Schedules and travel arrangements will be shared separately.

ARFMA was registered under the Societies Registration Act, XXI of 1860, on 28 January 1976. These surviving records establish the Association’s institutional beginning and identify its first recorded Executive Committee.
